We are pleased to welcome all passengers on board our aircraft, regardless of their age. We are ready to pay attention to even the smallest passenger and do everything to make him satisfied and come back to us again. And in order for the relationship between our company and your children to develop in the best possible way, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the rules for transporting children by the aircrafts of our company.

SCAT Airlines transports children both accompanied and unaccompanied by adult passengers.

Unaccompanied children

Unaccompanied minors are accepted for transportation by SCAT Airlines only after their parents or Guardians have completed and signed the form for transportation of an unaccompanied minor. An accompanying person, if this is not the parent or legal guardian of the child, must issue a power of attorney certified by a notary to transport an unaccompanied child, when transported on domestic flights between the ages of 6 and 18 years.

For international transportation, it is additionally necessary to have a notarized consent from parents (guardians) to allow their child to be transported on an international flight of an airline unaccompanied at the age of 6 to 18 years (indicating the date of departure and the state that he intends to visit).

Payment for transportation of unaccompanied children is charged in accordance with the fare rules.

Unaccompanied minors must arrive at the airport accompanied by a parent or guardian who must be at the airport until the aircraft takes off. Parents and guardians must meet the unaccompanied child at the destination airport. Application forms can be obtained from official SCAT sales offices or representatives.

Children under the age of 6 are transported only when accompanied by an adult passenger.

Group transportation of children is carried out only upon agreement with the Airline. 

Unaccompanied minor children are not accepted for transportation from 11 pm to 6 am in accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 36 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 8, 2002 "On the Rights of the Child in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

Accompanied children

For domestic transportation (in Kazakhstan):

A passenger over 18 years of age has the right to carry one child under the age of 2 free of charge.

Other children under 2 years of age traveling with a passenger (over 18) are transported on domestic flights on tickets paying 50% of the applicable fare and providing a separate seat.

Children aged 2 to 15 years on domestic flights are transported on tickets paying 50% of the applicable fare, accompanied by an adult passenger over 18 years of age.

When transported on international flights:

A passenger over 18 years of age has the right to carry one child under the age of 2 years free of charge without providing him with a separate seat.

Other children under 2 years of age traveling with a passenger (over 18) are transported on international flights on tickets paying 50% of the applicable fare and providing a separate seat.

Children aged 2 to 12 on international flights are transported on tickets paying 50% of the applicable fare, accompanied by an adult passenger over 18 years of age.

Tickets for children under two years old

Passengers planning to fly with children under two years of age must add the child to the booking when purchasing a ticket. Despite the fact that for children of this age the ticket is free, its presence is mandatory!

In the absence of information about the child in the booking, SCAT cannot guarantee the boarding of your child on board. This is due to security requirements, according to which special quotas are allocated for children under 2 (two) years old, the ticket issuance for a child under 2 years old is mandatory to get this quota.

Pregnant women

Pregnant women are allowed to fly if the gestation period is up to 34 weeks in case of a singleton pregnancy, and in case of multiple pregnancy - no more than 32 weeks. After 22 weeks of pregnancy a certificate confirmed a satisfactory state of health from a medical organization must be provided.

Pregnant women whose gestational age exceeds 34 weeks in case of a singleton pregnancy, and in case of multiple pregnancy - no more than 32 weeks, provide the conclusion of the medical advisory commission, approved by order of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2020 No. ҚР ДСМ-175/2020 "On approval of forms of accounting documentation in the field of healthcare" (registered in the Register of State Registration of Normative Legal Acts under No. 21579) of Form No. 026 / y on the state of one's health, which is allowed with registration by a medical organization no earlier than 30 calendar days before the start of transportation .

Postpartum women and newborns are not allowed for carriage during the first 7 calendar days after the birth of the child.

For the transportation of children born before the due date in multiple pregnancies, the parents of the children or accompanying adults present a medical certificate for each child, which confirms the possibility of transporting the child by air.

Passengers with disabilities

Conditions for the provision of a wheelchair and the service of accompanying a passenger in a wheelchair upon arrival in Istanbul

Passengers with disabilities flying to the city of Istanbul on flights of SCAT Airlines, who require a wheelchair upon arrival in the city of Istanbul, must contact the airline representative in advance, before starting check-in, to issue a fee for the provision of a wheelchair and escort services for wheelchair.

The 0JX Assistive devices 2 fee is established by ground handling agreements with airports for providing a wheelchair and escort for a passenger. The information is indicated in the table below:
