We are pleased to welcome all passengers on board our aircraft, regardless of their age. We are ready to pay attention to even the smallest passenger and do everything to make him satisfied and come back to us again. And in order for the relationship between our company and your children to develop in the best possible way, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the rules for transporting children by the aircrafts of our company.

SCAT Airlines transports children both accompanied and unaccompanied by adult passengers.

Unaccompanied children

Unaccompanied minors are accepted for transportation by SCAT Airlines only after their parents or Guardians have completed and signed the form for transportation of an unaccompanied minor. An accompanying person, if this is not the parent or legal guardian of the child, must issue a power of attorney certified by a notary to transport an unaccompanied child, when transported on domestic flights between the ages of 6 and 18 years.

For international transportation, it is additionally necessary to have a notarized consent from parents (guardians) to allow their child to be transported on an international flight of an airline unaccompanied at the age of 6 to 18 years (indicating the date of departure and the state that he intends to visit).

New conditions for the transportation of unaccompanied children on SCAT flights

On direct scheduled flights in Kazakhstan, with the exception of subsidized flights, the payment is 8000 tenge, the transportation of an unaccompanied child on international flights is 20 US dollars.

Several countries are an exception:

• On direct scheduled flights from the cities of Kazakhstan to Istanbul and back, the payment for the transportation of an unaccompanied child is 50 US dollars.
• On flights from the cities of Kazakhstan to Moscow (Sheremetyevo airport) and back, the payment for a child flying without parents is 50 US dollars.
• On flights from Kazakhstan to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and back, a fee of $ 60 is charged for a child unaccompanied by parents or legal representatives.
• On direct scheduled flights from Kazakhstan to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and back, an unaccompanied child must pay 35 US dollars.

Payment for the transportation of a child can be made in the system at the stage of booking a ticket for a child. If there is no technical possibility, payment for the service is accepted at the SCAT airline offices at the departure airports. Payment is accepted in the national currency of the country of departure at the exchange rate at the time of purchase.

The fee for the child support service is charged for one flight to the destination. If a round—trip ticket is purchased, then the fee is charged twice.

In case the child's transportation did not take place, the payment for the support service will be refunded.

Unaccompanied minors must arrive at the airport accompanied by a parent or guardian who must be at the airport until the aircraft takes off. Parents and guardians must meet the unaccompanied child at the destination airport. Application forms can be obtained from official SCAT sales offices or representatives.

Children under the age of 6 are transported only when accompanied by an adult passenger.

Group transportation of children is carried out only upon agreement with the Airline. 

Unaccompanied minor children are not accepted for transportation from 11 pm to 6 am in accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 36 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 8, 2002 "On the Rights of the Child in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

Accompanied children

For domestic flights:

A passenger over 18 years old can transport one child under 2 years old free of charge.

Others traveling children with a passenger (over 18 years old) under 2 years old must pay 50% of the standard fare and have a separate seat.

Children from 2 to 15 years have option to pay 50% of the standard fare.

Children's discounts are not provided for promotional booking classes A,I,O,Q,S,P,R,X,E,U,L.

For international flights:

A passenger over 18 years old can transport one child under 2 years old free of charge.

Others traveling children with a passenger (over 18 years old) under 2 years old must pay 50% of the special fare and have a separate seat.

Children from 2 to 12 years have option to pay 50% of the special fare.

Children's discounts are not provided for promotional booking classes A,I,O,Q,S,P,R,X.

Tickets for children under two years old

Passengers planning to fly with children under two years of age must add the child to the booking when purchasing a ticket. Despite the fact that for children of this age the ticket is free, its presence is mandatory!

In the absence of information about the child in the booking, SCAT cannot guarantee the boarding of your child on board. This is due to security requirements, according to which special quotas are allocated for children under 2 (two) years old, the ticket issuance for a child under 2 years old is mandatory to get this quota.

Pregnant women

Pregnant women are allowed to fly if the gestation period is up to 34 weeks in case of a singleton pregnancy, and in case of multiple pregnancy - no more than 32 weeks. After 22 weeks of pregnancy a certificate confirmed a satisfactory state of health from a medical organization must be provided.

Pregnant women whose gestational age exceeds 34 weeks in case of a singleton pregnancy, and in case of multiple pregnancy - no more than 32 weeks, provide the conclusion of the medical advisory commission, approved by order of the Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2020 No. ҚР ДСМ-175/2020 "On approval of forms of accounting documentation in the field of healthcare" (registered in the Register of State Registration of Normative Legal Acts under No. 21579) of Form No. 026 / y on the state of one's health, which is allowed with registration by a medical organization no earlier than 30 calendar days before the start of transportation .

Postpartum women and newborns are not allowed for carriage during the first 7 calendar days after the birth of the child.

For the transportation of children born before the due date in multiple pregnancies, the parents of the children or accompanying adults present a medical certificate for each child, which confirms the possibility of transporting the child by air.

People with special needs

SCAT Airlines is a socially oriented company. We always strive to create travel conditions for all categories of citizens.

Once a year, people with special needs are entitled to one preferential transportation on the airline's domestic routes in one or both directions, provided that round-trip tickets were issued immediately. The discount does not apply to subsidized and charter flights.

 1^st group disability passengers:

• A 100% discount for persons with disabilities of group 1 is provided once a year for a one-way or both-way flight. The discount applies to regular flights in Kazakhstan. The discount does not apply to charter and subsidized flights.
• Airport and other fees are paid by the passenger additionally.
• Discounted tickets are issued only with fixed flight dates, tickets with open dates are prohibited.
• Transportation of persons with disabilities of the first group is allowed only with an accompanying person. The accompanying person pays the available fare at the time of registration.
• When applying for a discounted ticket, you must provide a document confirming disability.
• It is not necessary to be the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to receive a preferential airfare, a passenger can have the citizenship of any country.
• Discounted tickets can be rebooked or cancelled without penalty. You can purchase discounted airfare only at the airline's own sales offices and representative offices.

2^nd group disability passengers

• A 50% discount for persons with disabilities of group 2 is provided once a year for one-way or both-way flights at the fare of booking class F. The discount applies to regular flights within Kazakhstan. The discount does not apply to charter and subsidized flights.
• Airport and other fees are paid by the passenger additionally.
• When applying for a discounted ticket, you must provide a document confirming disability.
• It is not necessary to be the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to receive a preferential airfare, a passenger can have the citizenship of any country.
• Discounted tickets can be rebooked or cancelled without penalty. You can purchase discounted airfare only at the airline's own sales offices and representative offices.

Children with disabilities:

• For children with disabilities under the age of 18, a discount of 100% of the fare is provided. The discount is provided once a year for one-way or both-way flights. The discount applies to regular flights in Kazakhstan. The discount does not apply to charter and subsidized flights.
• Airport and other fees are paid additionally.
• Transportation of a child with a disability is allowed only with an accompanying person. Transportation of two or more children with disabilities by one accompanying person is prohibited.
• The accompanying person pays the available rate at the time of booking.
• When applying for a discounted ticket, you must provide a document confirming disability.
• It is not necessary to be the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to receive a preferential airfare, a passenger can have the citizenship of any country.
• Discounted tickets can be rebooked or cancelled without penalty. You can purchase discounted airfare only at the airline's own sales offices and representative offices.

Conditions for the provision of a wheelchair and the service of accompanying a passenger in a wheelchair upon arrival in Istanbul

Passengers with disabilities flying to the city of Istanbul on flights of SCAT Airlines, who require a wheelchair upon arrival in the city of Istanbul, must contact the airline representative in advance, before starting check-in, to issue a fee for the provision of a wheelchair and escort services for wheelchair.

The 0JX Assistive devices 2 fee is established by ground handling agreements with airports for providing a wheelchair and escort for a passenger. The information is indicated in the table below:

Passengers who require the provision of a wheelchair and an escort are allowed to travel if they have paid the 0JX fee for the provision of a wheelchair and an escort of a passenger issued on an EMD.
